Hillary Clinton often showcases herself as being “pro-women” through supporting Planned Parenthood and “fighting for equal pay”, however she is actually quite the opposite. First acting as First Lady in the White House, being elected into the Senate, appointed Secretary of State, and now running for president, Hillary has a long political track record, but does this actually mean anything? Not only was she under FBI investigation for her emails, but is also accused of abusing women. Here are just a few ways that Hillary Clinton actually degrades women rather than following through with her promises to fight for women.

1)It’s no secret that Hillary’s husband, Bill Clinton, was accused of having an affair with then intern Monica Lewinski beginning in 1998. Hillary still calls this a “right-wing conspiracy” regardless of it being blatantly true. This is not the only sex scandal which has occurred over the years. According to a National Review article written by Katherine Timpf, Bill Clinton has been accused of sexually assaulting and having affairs with a number of women in the double-digits. This includes when he was governor of Arkansas, allegedly having affairs with Gennifer Flowers and Sally Perdue. Where does Hillary come into play? Hillary has been accused of calling Flowers “trailer trash” and physically threatening Perdue if she did not keep quiet.

From Katherine Timpf’s article Hillary is Not a Feminist on National Review:

“When allegations of sexual misconduct emerged during Bill’s 1992 presidential run, she’s reported to have said ‘Who is going to find out? These women are trash. Nobody’s going to believe them.’ Multiple people also report that she called the women ‘sluts’ and ‘whores’ — you know, for daring to be raped. A private investigator named Ivan Duda claims that, after Bill lost his second governor’s race, Hillary told him: ‘I want you to get rid of all these b****** he’s seeing . . . I want you to give me the names and addresses and phone numbers, and we can get them under control.’”

Hillary is accused of emotionally abusing women; so has Hillary’s “fight for women” been genuine or a play for power? Bill was sued by Juanita Broaddrick, Kathleen Willey and Paula Jones in 1994, but Hillary has not stood up for any of these women; Hillary’s “fight for women” stops where it’s inconvenient for her image.

2) Hillary Clinton proudly endorses “feminist activist” Lena Dunham, who openly admits to sexually assaulting her sister at a young age. She describes this in full detail in her published collection of personal essays. She described herself as approaching her sister like a “sexual predator”. Hillary Clinton has women such as this advocating for her; does that say much? Not only this, but Lena Dunham has said that, “any man who takes advantage of a woman sickens her”, however she is campaigning for Hillary despite the accusations of sexual assault regarding Bill. This is clearly hypocritical.

 3) Hillary brings up the “wage gap” very frequently as it is an important asset to her campaign. The issue here is that has been proven false many times. The Equal Pay Act has assured to make unequal pay for the same work illegal. Women on average make less than men for several reasons. To name a few – women are more likely to pursue degrees which commonly produce less income and are more likely to stay at home with children. Also, according to the U.S. Department of Labor, men are more likely to spend more time at work than women.

“On the days they worked, employed men worked 52 minutes more than employed women. This difference partly reflects women’s greater likelihood of working part time. However, even among full-time workers (those usually working 35 hours or more per week), men worked longer than women—8.4 hours compared with 7.8 hours.”

If Hillary were a true advocate for women, she would let women know that they do not need to believe in the “wage gap” in order to succeed.

4) Another thing worth noting is that Planned Parenthood endorsed Hillary in her 2016 campaign for the White House. Through hidden exposed videos, Planned Parenthood has been proven to sell and harvest baby parts. This is not only illegal, but immoral and frankly disgusting. I’m all for women’s healthcare, but this is a facility which I, and other women, should not support. Any true women’s advocate would know that there are other affordable women’s healthcare facilities which do not participate in these illegal actions. Being against Planned Parenthood does not make you anti-women.

These are just few things that Hillary Clinton has done which purely degrade women. Although she claims to be the most “pro-women feminist” out there, her actions prove otherwise. She has not treated women with respect, thinks women need a crutch, and has no regard for unborn life. Timpf said it best – “I’m a woman; I support women — and that’s exactly why I could never support Hillary Clinton.”
