Social media is a fantastic venue to connect with your elected officials and political leaders across the nation. It’s an even better place to find incredible “furry” four-legged friends involved in our nation’s political process that are sure to put a smile on your face more often than the “fury” of politicians. If you aren’t already, you need to be following these 10 adorable “paw-liticians” on social media.
Ambassador Bentley – Owned by Nikki Haley, former US Ambassador to the United Nations and former Governor of South Carolina
Ambassador Bentley, or more informally known by his family simply as Bentley, is certainly the cutest and best Ambassador the world ever seen. His adorable nature makes him an excellent negotiator. He’s the perfect choice to take place in those tough diplomatic discussions. Bentley is a southern dog at heart, but has spent the last few years exploring the concrete jungle of Manhattan with his mom, former Governor and Ambassador Nikki Haley. His favorite pastime is cheering on the Clemson Tigers with his sister! 20/10 would give him diplomatic immunity.

Pippa on Capitol Hill – Owned by Sam Heyrich
Pippa is an itty bitty corgi puppy who is a new addition to the pack of dogs traversing Capitol Hill on a daily basis! She goes to work every day with her mom to the United States Senate in Senator Toomey’s (R-PA) office, where she is “on the pursuit to find the best place to nap in the Russell Senate Office Building.” She loves the Capitol Hill police and thanks them for keeping her safe at work every day! Her life as an office dog was recently featured nationwide thanks to Roll Call! 100/10 would snuggle Pippa during her lunch break!
Cups in the Capital – Owned by Emily Przyborowski and Alex Milliken
Cups is an itty bitty chocolate brown shih tzu who loves going to work in the US Senate with her dad, Alex. She is particularly good at reading incoming mail and loves taking naps in the office inbox! Her name is her best attribute. Why? Because her mom and dad met and fell in love over countless coffee dates at Cups Coffee Shop in the Russell Senate Office Building (bring me the tissues, people). She loves going to the beach, shopping with her dad at Ace Hardware, and taking long walks on the national mall. 22/10 would send Cups a letter to read at work.

Calvin Coolidge Willox
Calvin Coolidge Willox–the “coolest” dog on Capitol Hill–can often be found strolling around the Russell Senate Office Building with his corgi pals, Pippa and Oskar. Cal loves smiling, fishing, and camping with his mom and dad. He has proudly sported the cone of shame and sports preppy sweaters in the winter when it’s cold. 13/10 would love to take him fishing on the Potomac river.

Oskar the Capitol Hill Corgi – Owned by US Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL)’s Press Secretary
Okay, okay, I know this is corgi number three. If you know me, you know my love of corgis is almost as much, if not more, than my love of America. Oskar the corgi belongs to US Senator Marco Rubio’s press secretary. He is well-known by US Senators from putting smiles on so many faces. His goal while his dad is in office is to “put corgi priorities first.” 14/10 would elect for public office.
