Being a college student isn’t easy, especially around midterms and finals. Between clubs, schoolwork, work, friends, and political activism, it’s always a whirlwind for the future female leaders of the world. Luckily, there’s a treasure trove of calming quotes to be found in the Bible for the girl who needs guidance. Here are just eight of my favorites.

1) Ecclesiastes 11: 5

“Just as you do not know how the life breath enters the human frame in the mother’s womb, So you do not know the work of God, who is working in everything.

2) Matthew 6: 33-34

“But seek first the kingdom (of God) and his righteousness, and all these things will be given you besides. Do not worry about tomorrow; tomorrow will take care of itself. Sufficient for a day is its own evil.”

3) Jeremiah 29:11

“For I know well the plans I have in mind for you—oracle of the LORD—plans for your welfare and not for woe, so as to give you a future of hope.

4) Romans 12:12

“Rejoice in hope, endure in affliction, persevere in prayer.”

5) Luke 18: 27

“And he said, ‘What is impossible for human beings is possible for God.’”

6) Proverbs 12:25

“Worry weighs down the heart, but a kind word gives it joy.”

7) Isaiah 41:10

“Do not fear: I am with you; do not be anxious: I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.

8) Philippians 4:6-7

“Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.”
