According to a study by the Crime Prevention Research Center, “between 2012 and 2016, in states that provide data by gender, the number of women with permits has increased twice as quickly as the number of men with permits.” The NRA also reports that women are the fastest-growing group of gun owners. For any female taking up arms, check out these nine pro-gun organizations made just for women:

1) The Well Armed Woman

Created by Carrie Lightfoot, The Well Armed Woman is an online resource that aims to educate, equip, and empower women as gun owners. In addition to the website, they have over 350 shooting chapters across the country. 

2) NRA Women

The NRA Women’s Channel is an educational resource for female gun enthusiasts. They focus on firearm news, tips, and events.

3) A Girl and a Gun

A Girl and a Gun is a women’s shooting league that hosts both national and local events. With around 100 chapters, the organization aims to empower, educate, and have fun at the range. 

4) Women & Guns

Published by the Second Amendment Foundation, Women & Guns is a firearms publication made specifically for women. It is the only magazine of it’s kind. You can subscribe to the magazine here.

5) EmPOWERed

Created by Antonia Okafor, Empowered is a movement created for women on college campuses who feel empowered exercising their second amendment rights. They are launching a campus tour in the fall of 2017. 

6) Girls Guide to Guns

Founded by Natalie Foster, Girls Guide to Guns is a blog made for both new and experienced female shooters. 

7) American Women Who Bear Arms

American Women Who Bear Arms is an official partner of NRA Women. They regularly publish articles and aim to empower women by featuring stories of individuals who have used guns to save their own lives or the lives of others. 

8) Huntress View

Huntress View was created to give female hunters advice on hunting and shooting, from a woman’s point of view. Their goal is to increase the number of female hunters, shooters, and outdoor enthusiasts. 

9) Women’s Outdoor News

Women’s Outdoor News is a news site for women, by women. It features articles related to hunting, shooting, fishing, and outdoor adventures.
