White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders announced that President Trump will be addressing the March for Life this year. This will make him the first sitting president to do so. It is said that Trump will address the crowd via satellite from the White House Rose Garden this Friday when the March is being held.

Having a sitting president of the United States address a long-held conservative value of the importance of human life is monumental. Whether you love him, hate him, or feel iffy about him, President Trump will bring some major media coverage to a rally that normally goes widely underreported.

Thousands upon thousands gather to garner attention for a belief they feel strongly about; that belief being that life begins at conception. Some march because they strongly oppose abortion, some march because they survived abortions, some march because they were adopted instead of aborted, and some march simply because they believe that every person deserves the right to life. The thousands of different stories you hear at the March range from heartbreaking narratives of women’s abortions to heartwarming accounts of adoption or someone keeping their child instead of abortion.

This year’s March for Life is set to be held on Friday, January 19th in Washington D.C. where it is held annually.
