Trying to figure out what to wear to your plethora of holiday parties can sometimes (usually) be stressful. Do you go with LBD or sparkly dress? Heels or flats? Here’s a guide to help pick which outfit is the most appropriate for every event you attend this holiday season.

1) Office Party

For the office Christmas party it’s important to keep it classy, but festive. Try black pants, a black skirt, or even a LBD. Add some sparkle with a top, fun shoes, or clutch. Stick to simple prints and colors, and remember neutrals flatter everyone. Don’t forget, this is still an office party, so stay professional by avoiding hemlines that are too high or blouses that are too low. Try to stay with the culture of the company when dressing for this occasion by sticking to dress code, but adding a little flair.

2) Family Holiday Party

With family holiday parties, comfort is your best bet. You can’t go wrong with cozy sweaters and cardigans, leggings, or a Piko dress. When you’re spending hours with your loved ones, the most important thing is spending time with family. Your outfit isn’t meant to make a statement here, so stick with what you know. These are the people who love you the most, so let down your guard, dress comfortably, and enjoy your time together.

3) Friend’s Christmas

Christmas with your friends is meant to be fun and lighthearted. Anything goes here. Sparkle, cozy comfy, casual. You can’t go wrong with jeans, and they pair with pretty much anything: sequins, a vest, a flowy blouse. Pick your favorite pair of jeans, and add whatever your heart desires.

4) Christmas dinner with your significant other’s family

The key word for this event should be elegant. Be classy, but don’t try too hard. Simple prints, classic cuts, holiday colors. Red, black, green, and white are all safe bets. If you’re feeling bold, try a red or dark lip color – hopefully a tried and trustworthy, wear-proof shade.

5) New Year’s Eve

For New Year’s Eve go as bold and sparkly as you want. Gold, silver, black, and white are all very “in” for New Year’s outfits.  Pick which color is most flattering, and run with it. Anything from a simple outfit with statement jewelry to a knock-em-out dress is completely acceptable the ring in 2017.

No matter what you decide to wear for any occasion the most important thing to remember is to wear what you are comfortable in and what looks good on your body! Be festive and bold this holiday season. Experiment with your outfits, and rock whatever you want to. There’s no better time of year to do it.
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, & stay sparkly.
