Over the past few months, I have really been trying to read more  motivational books and books for the businesswoman. Lets be honest, whether you’re a current girl boss or a future one, we all can use a little professional motivation here and there. These can be that little kick in the booty that you need to go and work for your dreams.

1. #GirlBoss by Sophia Amoruso

It should come as no surprise at all that #GirlBoss ended up at the first book on the list. This is the book that inspired a ton of hashtags. Sophia, the founder of Nastygal.com has some extremely applicable advice and pep talks about her struggles as well as successes. I was definitely skeptical at first to read this book because I thought it was just about Sophia’s life.  Once you read it you will most definitely understand all of the hype.

2) Make It Happen by Lara Casey

If you are holding yourself back from something, you won’t be after this. Casey shares her personal story of the struggles that she faced.  She gives realistic and applicable advice on how she “took the leap” to move past those things by setting goals and taking action.

3) I Shouldn’t Be Telling You This by Kate White

This was actually a book suggested by one of my college professors. I kid you not I was concerned that this book might be “too old” for me. I was wrong. The tips and tricks Kate lays out in this book are so easy to follow and so helpful for the up and coming businesswomen.

4) Fearless & Fabulous by Cara Alwill Leyba

I’m going to keep this one short and sweet. Want that Mercedes? Want that future business position in the Fortune 500 Company? Want to kick butt and take names and show them that women rock? Read this book for 10 powerful strategies for getting what you want out of life and how to get past the things that are standing in your way.

5) The Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod

I’m well aware this probably doesn’t appear on most reading lists for the up and coming business lady, but this book has been changing my life. It has been regarded as one of the most life changing books ever written.  That is no lie at all. In this book, Hal Elrod talks about how creating a morning routine has completely changed his life.  He outlines his exact steps so you can create the perfect routine of your own. I have my own routine based off of this book.  Once you implement your own miracle morning, you’ll see just how much your life changes like I have.
