TGIF, am I right? This week, Republican women won primaries, made history, and received endorsements. Let’s break down the 5 biggest wins from GOP women this week. 

E-PAC endorsed GOP female candidates win primaries 

In the beginning of 2019, Stefanik voiced frustration in the number of GOP women in Congress and has committed to help elect more Republican women with Elevate PAC. So far, 11 out of 12 E-PAC endorsed candidates in 2020 have won their primaries. 2 E-PAC endorsed candidates won their primary this week — Nancy Mace in SC-01 and Karen Handel in GA-06. Both have been marked as competitive races for 2020.

In the Trump administration, half of the National Security Council Leaders are women

While you may not hear about this on CNN or other cable networks, women in the Trump administration hit a historic milestone. Yes, you heard that right. For the first time in history, 50% of NSC leaders are women. The Federalist shares “twelve of the 24 directorates are led by women now, including three of the six regional directorates that cover the world.”

President Trump endorses Iowa Senator Joni Ernst in re-election bid

The president endorsed the first female combat veteran elected to the United States Senate via Twitter on Thursday sharing:

Senator Martha McSally wins Abraham Lincoln Leadership for America Award from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce

The first female to fly in combat, Martha McSally, was awarded the inaugural honor alongside fellow Arizona Senator, Krysten Sinema. According to the Chamber of Commerce, the two senators “are the top scoring lawmakers to receive awards this week from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce for their bipartisan leadership to support small businesses and entrepreneurs.”

Elise Stefanik’s E-PAC announces new rounds of endorsements 

E-PAC has announced four new endorsements for United States Congress, citing that they “have met E-PAC’s tough metrics of success and have demonstrated a proven path to victory in November.” The E-PAC also named five more candidates to their “Women To Watch” list.
