Senator Lummis introduces bill to help reduce national debt

Senator Cynthia Lummis (R-WY), along with Senator Rick Scott (R-FL) introduced the Pay Down the Debt Act of 2021. The bill “would permit state and local governments to redirect grants they receive from the federal government toward reducing federal deficit spending.” 

Senator Ernst’s amendment to end funding to Wuhan Institute of Virology succeeds

An amendment introduced by Senator Joni Ernst to cease US funding to the Wuhan Institute of Virology was adopted to the Endless Frontier Act. The amendment follows months of Ernst’s calls to end funding for the lab, and following a report from the Wall Street Journal questioning the origins of COVID-19.

Tudor Dixon announces run for governor of Michigan

Tudor Dixon, a TV host, announced that she is running to replace Michigan governor Gretchen Whitmer in the 2022 election. In her campaign launch video, Dixon criticizes Whitmer’s lockdown policies and calls for a “liberated” Michigan. She notes that she is not a politician. Instead, she seeks to effect change as one who understands how Whitmer’s policies have hurt those in the state. Dixon is a wife, mother of four, and cancer survivor.

Rachel Campos-Duffy named co-host of Fox & Friends Weekend

FOX Nation host Rachel Campos-Duffy was named co-host of Fox & Friends Weekend this week. She will begin her new role on June 12, becoming the only Hispanic woman to host a morning cable news program. Campos-Duffy will continue hosting her FOX Nation show, “Moms”, and is also set to begin a new podcast with her husband, called “From the Kitchen Table – The Duffy’s.”

Liz Wheeler launches new podcast

Conservative commentator Liz Wheeler recently launched a new podcast, The Liz Wheeler Show, to provide “a personal, researched, and unapologetic take on how we think about our culture.” Wheeler seeks to shine a light on the lies propagated by the Left and offer fresh commentary that goes against the mainstream media’s narrative. New episodes are released daily.
