Everyone knows the saying, “a Sunday well spent brings a week of content.” Truer words have never been spoken. Setting yourself up for a successful week directly stems from how you spend your Sunday.

  1. Spiritual fulfillment

Whether it’s attending Sunday service or taking a solo hike surrounded by immense natural beauty, do something that speaks to your soul. The peace of mind that is evoked by a powerful sermon or time spent alone reflecting is priceless. Taking part in some kind of activity that is spiritually fulfilling will have a great effect on how your week goes. You can never go wrong by starting your week with a clear head and grateful heart.

  1. Brunch

Who doesn’t love Sunday brunch? Brunch is the perfect opportunity to enjoy some delicious food and spend time with the people who are most important to you. Brunching with your family, boyfriend, or closest friends will undoubtedly improve your day and the week to come. It’s a great opportunity to catch up, chat and make exciting plans for the future. Time spent with loved ones will have you leaving the weekend on a high-note.

  1. Plan your outfits

Do you ever wake up in the morning panicking because you don’t know what you’re going to wear? Sometimes a great outfit can be thrown together at the last minute.  Let’s be real, great things take time and consideration. If you want to spend your week looking your best, take a moment on Sunday to make sure your laundry is done and that you have an idea about what outfits you’re going to style for the week ahead.

  1. Write in your agenda

One of the biggest keys to being successful is being organized. Any striving, intelligent woman should have an agenda or a planner. I use mine to keep track of appointments, deadlines, social engagements and personal goals.  It basically runs my life, and I’m fine with it.  You’ll thank yourself for taking a few minutes on Sunday to pencil in your schedule.  It will help you stay as organized as possible.

  1. Meal prep

It depends on how committed you are to a healthy lifestyle, but Sundays are the day of meal-prepping. If you’re trying to achieve a specific fitness goal or wanting to feel healthier, prepping meals at the start of the week is the way to go. Even if you just want to eliminate the last minute McDonald’s run for lack of better options, prep your meals beforehand. A healthy body and healthy mind go hand in hand.

This is by no means an exhaustive list. If you take a moment to examine your life and what fills it, I guarantee you’ll come up with more ways to prepare for a successful week.  Next time you find yourself at that sad moment when you realize the weekend is over, turn it into an opportunity to prepare.  Be excited for the productive week ahead.
