The most important thing to remember is you are not alone. Anxiety disorders are the most common mental illness in the U.S., affecting 40 million adults in the United States age 18 and older, or 18% of the population. Do not be afraid to discuss your anxiety with your doctor. Sometimes, coping mechanisms aren’t enough on their own and that is okay.
