Conservative women made waves this Christmas week. From getting the first dose of the COVID vaccine to showing support to other conservatives’ political careers through funding and podcasts–here are six ways conservative women showed up this week. 

The Daily Caller Interviewed Kayleigh McEnany About Being A Conservative Woman

Mary Margaret Olohan of The Daily Caller sat down with White House Press Secretary, Kayleigh McEnany in an interview on Saturday to ask about her experience as a prominent conservative woman. McEnany shared “Republican women are just treated differently by virtue of their party ideology.” She also spoke about how her life has changed since she took the Press Secretary position. 

Congresswoman-Elect Nancy Mace and Senator Marsha Blackburn Podcast Together

Senator Marsha Blackburn’s “Freedom Rings Podcast” featured a new voice in congress this week! In Blackburn’s Saturday episode, she spoke with Nancy Mace, South Carolina’s Congresswoman-Elect. In the episode, they discuss breaking barriers and protecting freedoms. 

Senator Capito Joins The Growing List of American Protected By The COVID Vaccine

Senator Shelley Moore Capito (among many other conservative women) received the first dose of the COVID vaccine this week. In a tweet by Senator Capito she says “Following the advice of the Capitol Attending Physician, I received the COVID vaccine this evening. It was quick, painless, and most importantly, it was safe. I plan to receive the second dose in 21 days as required.” 

New Federal Monument Dedicated To Leaders of Women’s Suffrage Movement

This week, President Trump signed a new piece of legislation authorizing a new federal monument dedicated to the leaders of the women’s suffrage movement. The statue will be titled “Every Word We Utter” and will feature Susan B. Anthony, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, and Sojourner Truth, among others. No location has been announced, but it’s been suggested to place the statue near the US Supreme Court building. 

Nikki Haley and GOP Women’s Group (WFWAF) Shows Support For Loeffler 

Senator Kelly Loeffler has been preparing for a close runoff race in Georgia for the last few weeks. This week, former US Ambassador to the UN, Nikki Haley stepped up in a campaign with Winning for Women Action Fund in which Haley supports Loeffler in the upcoming election. 

Melania Trump and Karen Pence Packed Comfort Kits for Troops

For the fourth year in a row, the First and Second Ladies spent the week of Christmas sending “comfort kits” to American troops that have to spend Christmas overseas. This year looked a little different, as they didn’t get to pack the kits in person with American Red Cross. Mrs. Trump said in a tweet “we were happy to carry on this long-standing tradition.”
