During our free time, we love to browse and watch our favorite shows on Netflix.  Often times, we find ourselves aspiring to be some of our favorite female characters.  We notice their characteristics of independence, hardwork, and ambition.  Here are a few of those examples.

1) Blair Waldorf, Gossip Girl

This is a pretty obvious one. We secretly hope and think that Blair is a Republican, but without even taking that into account, she lived on the Upper East Side, always stood up for herself, became the head of a successful fashion company and got the man of her dreams. What more could a girl ask for?

2) Brooke Davis, One Tree Hill

Brooke had a rough start in the beginning of the show, but she grew to become everyone’s favorite character. She’s extremely independent and transformed herself from a crazy party girl to a classy and respectable businesswoman (we like to think that she’s a Republican, too).

3) Paris Geller, Gilmore Girls

While a lot of Gilmore Girls fans may find Paris annoying, you have to admit that she is nothing short of extremely successful. She may have been denied from Harvard, but she got accepted into Yale and was the editor-in-chief of the student newspaper there at one point. She then got accepted into every single law school and doctoral school that she applied to. If that isn’t impressive, then I don’t know what is.

4) Rory Gilmore, Gilmore Girls

Rory went from being the top of her class at her small-town public high school, to graduating as valedictorian from the prestigious Chilton. From there, she got accepted to Harvard, Princeton and Yale. She ended up choosing Yale, and while she experienced a few bumps in the road, she accomplished a lot in her years there.

5) Eve Baxter, Last Man Standing

Eve is the youngest daughter on the sitcom Last Man Standing. Although she isn’t very girly, she’s young, tough and athletic which are three very admirable qualities.

6) Zoe Hart, Hart of Dixie

For the most part, Zoe is a very independent woman. She gave up her successful cardiology career in New York City to help out the citizens of Bluebell, a small town in Alabama that she fell in love with. Beauty and brains, how could you not want her life?

7) Olivia Pope, Scandal

Her wardrobe, job and personality are things that we all aspire to have. She always has the perfect business outfits and being a crisis manager in D.C. would be a dream job, although definitely stressful. She also is fierce and highly intelligent – the perfect woman for FFL.
