Earlier this week, it was announced that both MAC Cosmetics and Benefit Cosmetics will be donating large amounts of money to Planned Parenthood in the name of “supporting women’s health.” MAC will be making a two year, $500,000 commitment to, according to Allure, “provide reliable and readily accessible information to young people via Planned Parenthood’s online chat/text program and new sexual health mobile chatbot, Roo.” According to a spokesperson, this is just the first of several partnerships for the makeup company.
Benefit is setting a goal of 6 million dollars through their annual Bold is Beautiful campaign, which donates 100% of their brow waxing proceeds and will also donate proceeds from their new brow highlighter. After these announcements, hundreds of pro-life women flooded social media and asked for sufficient duplicates, or “dupes” of their favorite MAC and Benefit products.
