On Thursday, it was announced that Fox News has hired former White House Press Secretary, Sarah Huckabee Sanders to be a Fox News Contributor. Rep. Kay Granger gets profiled in Dallas News

Representative Kay Granger is the only Republican woman in Congress from Texas and quite frankly, if you haven’t heard of her, it wouldn’t be surprising, but you should take time to read about her in this feature in the Dallas News. Granger keeps a very low profile. She doesn’t weigh on cable news often and keeps her hot takes to a minimum, so she often flies under the radar to many. She was first elected in 1993 as the first Republican woman to serve in Congress. Granger is currently the top Republican to serve in the House Appropriations Committee

GOP women highlighted in NRCC’s first round of Young Guns Program

The National Congressional Committee released their first round of candidates in their Young Guns Program. The program, according to the NRCC, “mentors and supports candidates in races across the country and works to provide them with the necessary tools to run successful, winning campaigns against their Democratic opponents” Of the 32 listed, 25 were GOP women. It’s encouraging to see so many Republican women running for office. Here’s to taking back the House in 2020! You can read the list here.
