Virginia Hume releases debut novel, Haven Point

If you’re an avid Fox News watcher, you know that last name sounds familiar! Brit Hume’s daughter, Virginia Hume, is out with her debut novel Haven Point this week. Haven Point is “a sweeping debut novel about the generations of a family that spends summers in a seaside enclave on Maine’s rocky coastline, for fans of Elin Hilderbrand, Beatriz Williams, and Sarah Blake.” While the novel is not overtly political in nature, it is always refreshing to see and celebrate a center right voice in fiction since it seems to be so rare these days. Dana Perino recently sang it’s praises on The Five, sharing “highly recommend for your summer reading and I loved it.” Get your copy of Haven Point here.

Karoline Leavitt eyes House seat from home state of New Hampshire

The future is conservative female. Former Trump WH alum and Elise Stefanik aide is potentially readying a congressional run in New Hampshire against incumbent Democrat Chris Pappas. If she runs, and is elected, she will be the youngest member of US Congress at the age of 25. Karoline tweeted Wednesday, “New Hampshire is my home. I moved to Washington to serve President Trump and the American people, not to become a swamp creature. It has always been my intention to move back, and I’ve heard from many Granite Staters who are looking for a young, conservative fighter.” Whether Leavitt decides to jump in is yet to be seen, but it is rumored that it will be a crowded GOP primary so keep your eyes on this seat.
