The 2020 election season is in full swing, and here at FFL we’re excited to see that there has been a surge in Republical women running for public office. We love to celebrate conservative women in all capacities and give our readers a look at what they stand for.

The filing date for congressional races for 2020 in Colorado recently passed. Colorado will hold its primaries on June 30, 2020 and will host the general election on November 3, 2020.

There are currently no GOP women holding seats in the House or Senate from Colorado. There are, however, 2 GOP women running to change that.

Lauren Boebert (CO-3)

Boebertis the only Republican woman running for a Colorado House seat. She is running to defeat incumbent Republican, Scott Tipton, who has held the seat since 2011. You might recognize her as the woman who shot back at Beto and his “hell yes” gun confiscation plans, by telling him “hell no, you won’t take our guns” last September. She is the founder and owner of Shooters Grill in Rifle, CO, is the mother of 4 boys, and spends time at her local jail counseling women. According to Boebert’s website, she is pro-Trump, pro-guns, pro-constitution, pro-energy, pro-life, pro-Colorado, and pro-America.

Margot Dupre (US Senate)

Dupre is running against Republican incumbent Cory Gardner. She is a realtor licensed in several states, has been a foster parent, and used to be a police officer. Margot’s top priorities are putting an end to government corruption, defeating child abuse, and representing real Coloradoans. On her campaign’s Facebook page, she promises to cut Federal government in half, prevent politicians from “[getting] rich off taking money for political favors”, and implement term limits.
