The 2020 election season is in full swing, and here at FFL we’re excited to see that there has been a surge in Republican women running for public office. We love to celebrate conservative women in all capacities and give our readers a look at what they stand for.

New Hampshire will hold its primaries on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 and will host the general election on November 3, 2020.

Of New Hampshire’s 2 seats in the U.S. House of Representatives and 2 seats in the U.S.Senate, none are currently filled by a GOP woman or by any Republican. There is one Republican woman seeking to change this statistic.

Lynne Blankenbeker is running in New Hampshire’s second district for the U.S. House of Representatives. Blankenbeker is a former State Representative of New Hampshire, having won a special election in 2009 and being re-elected in 2010 in a very Democrat district. Through this position, she worked to balance their budget and was a strong voice for public health issues and veterans, being a Veteran and nurse herself. Having been recalled to active duty in Afghanistan, she was unable to run for re-election in 2012.

Blankenbeker is a Captain in the Navy Reserves and a respected combat nurse, with a total of 34 years of service to our country. After earning her nursing degree, she entered the Air Force as a 2nd Lieutenant through Air Force ROTC and was deployed to the Middle East in 1990. She then raised her daughter and worked as a nurse during an inactive reserves status. During this time, Blankenbeker earned her law degree from Franklin Pierce Law Center at the University of New Hampshire to focus on healthcare reform and Veteran support. She resumed her work for our country in 2000 by joining the Navy Reserve Nurse Corps and then deploying in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003. Most recently, she was a healthcare policy adviser at the Pentagon and Defense Health Headquarters.

Lynne Blankenbeker aims to reform healthcare, stop illegal immigration, strengthen national security, and “clean up Washington” by standing up for American values and addressing the unsatisfactory dysfunction of our Congress.
