This month is all about women. Lifting them up, empowering them, and reminding them of their worth. As a young woman of God, I’ve found that some of the most empowering words come from the Bible. When people ask me where my confidence comes from, my mind often wanders to a Bible verse. If you’re ever feeling beaten down, these four verses are sure to remind you of how special and capable you are. God adores the women of this world – never doubt your worth.

Psalm 46:5 God is within her, she will not fall”

This verses reminds us that we are God’s children – we have accepted Him and therefore, the Holy Spirit lives within us. Though we may be tempted, and though we may be sinners, this verse reminds us that God will walk with us, love us, and protect us in all things. This verse in conjunction with Philippians 4:13 – “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” – empowers us to pursue our dreams. It reminds us that with God on our side, we are unstoppable.

Proverbs 3:15 “She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her.

Have you ever been insulted? Have you ever been told that you were worthless? Has a guy ever made you feel undesirable? God doesn’t think so. He reminds us that we are more precious than rubies. Women have a tendency to beat ourselves up and to tear each other down. If you’re ever down on yourself – this verse will empower you to see yourself in a different light. In God’s eyes, you are invaluable and worthy of adoration. Forget worldly standards and remember that the One who created this world believes you are worth pursuing.

Psalm 139:14 “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”

The Bible tells us that God knew us before we were born and that He crafted us in His own image. He knows how many hairs are on our head and how many freckles are on our face. You are so exceptional that the God of the universe took time to craft you perfectly in His image. He shaped you and He knew you before anyone else. He cared for you and He created you with a purpose. Allow this verse to empower you to go out and make a difference, fulfill God’s purpose for your life.

Proverbs 31:25 “She is clothed in strength and dignity, she laughs without fear of the future.”

This verse reminds us that He created strong, intelligent, and powerful women. Paired with Jeremiah 29:11 – “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord,. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” – what doubts can we have in Him? Nothing is more comforting and empowering than knowing that, even when things go wrong, even when life feels out of control, He has a plan. When our earthly plans fall through, we can find solace in knowing that an even greater plan is that much closer to falling into place. God doesn’t make mistakes. Take a second to let that sink in.
