Fall is here. Leaves are changing, the weather is getting cooler, clothes are getting warmer, boots were made for walking, candles for lighting, and hot drinks galore. And if you’re like me, I live for the fall aesthetic with the colors, the smells, and the looks. I love preparing for fall and I look forward to it every year. Here are all the essentials you need to fall in love with the season.

Fall scented candles

Smell is the strongest human scent and so there is no better way to prepare for fall with your favorite candles. Pumpkin spice, apples, and musky smells are definitely the way to go.

Cozy sweaters

Big, cozy sweaters are one of the most quintessential fall wardrobe items. Everyone needs a good, thick sweater that goes perfect with jeans or leggings.

Fall decorations

There is no better way to get into the fall spirit than to decorate for fall. Make sure you feel cozy, warm, and like you’re in a fall episode of Gilmore Girls. Decorate with pillows, blankets, fake leaves, small pumpkins or gourds, or even with cute mugs!

Halloween movie marathons

Plan a fall movie or series marathon. Movies could include “Hocus Pocus”, “Halloweentown”, “Harry Potter”, “Get Out”, “Texas Chainsaw Massacre”, “Freddy vs Jason”, “Fatal Attraction”, etc.

Football

Missing football? Do the best you can to enjoy from home. Get in your school colors, get your favorite stadium snacks, and cheer as loudly as you can from your couch.

Fall activities

Visiting a pumpkin patch, apple orchard, or pear orchard is such an easy fall activity that gets you outside and breathing in the fresh air.

Scarves

Blanket scarves or any scarf are such an easy way to dress up or dress down an outfit. They are perfect to keep you warm and keep you cute.

Fall boots

Fall boots are always the thing that brings together a fall outfit. Whether you’re using functional boots or just some heeled ankle booties, they are the best aesthetic.

Fall treats

Make some cute fall treats and deliver them (with social distancing in mind) to family, friends, and neighborhoods, or enjoy them yourself!

Pumpkin carvings

Carving pumpkins is such a fun pastime. Whether you want to make a classic carved pumpkin face, an intricate design, or even painting them, decorating pumpkins is fun across all ages.

Fall hat

A cute fall hat can also pull together any look. The pictures you can get in a fall hat are so cute, creative, and fun.

Fall crafts

Create some fall crafts. This would be really fun to do when you’re doing your movie marathon!

Fresh apple cider

One of my favorite fall things necessities is sipping on some fresh apple cider. I prefer it warm but cold will do too. It oozes fall.

Corn mazes

Corn mazes are so much and an easy way to get outside during the nice weather. They are relatively inexpensive and are normally paired with a place to get some fun fall treats and buy a pumpkin.

Haunted Houses

COVID-19 thought it could take Haunted Houses away from us but now a lot of the “fear farms” that are popular are now doing a drive-through haunted tour and I am all about it.

Happy Fall, y’all!
