From new endeavors to reflections on legislative achievements, there’s a lot of good news this week from conservative women. Take a seat, grab a fresh cup of coffee, and, hey, throw some confetti, because we’re celebrating! End your week on a high note with these five stories from some of our favorite conservative women.

Dana Perino announces new book for young women

Dana Perino, former White House press secretary and current Fox News host, announced her third book earlier this week. The upcoming book, titled “Everything Will Be Okay: Life Lessons for Young Women (from a Former Young Woman),” will help young women navigate their careers and goals, especially for those who may be experiencing what Perino calls a “quarter-life crisis.” The goal, Perino says, is to both ease anxieties and spur women on to success.

Personally, I loved her first book “And the Good News Is…”, so I can’t wait for this new one! Preorder it here.

Governor Kristi Noem celebrates GOP women in South Dakota legislature

A record number of Republican women were elected to the South Dakota legislature on election day. To celebrate the achievement, Governor Noem posted a tweet with a picture of all the women together in a group photo. We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again: the future is conservative female. Congratulations, ladies!

Senator Marsha Blackburn starts new podcast

The Tennessee senator announced earlier this week that she launched a podcast called “Freedom Rings” that will feature some of America’s top leaders. The first three episodes included guests like Senator Kelly Loeffler, Senator Rick Scott, and Representative-elect Nancy Mace. Of the podcast, Blackburn says, “We discuss my five-word mission statement: faith, family, freedom, hope and opportunity, with great patriots who are seeking to advance the conservative cause and who are working to ensure every American has the opportunity to live the American Dream.” You can find “Freedom Rings” on Apple and Spotify.

Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds named Vice Chair of Republican Governors Association

The Republican Governors Association named Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds as 2021 Vice Chair. She will serve alongside Arizona Governor Doug Ducey, who was named RGA Chairman. Her role begins immediately. The governor said of her role, “If the challenges of 2020 taught us anything, it’s that leadership matters. Republican Governors across our country stepped up during an unprecedented time and I am honored to be a part of this incredible team.”

Senator Joni Ernst reflects on election success and more in new interview

In an interview with the Washington Examiner’s Tiana Lowe, Senator Joni Ernst looked back on the successes of her most recent election and the wins of her first term, as well as the trials of public life. Though there’s plenty to unpack here, one of the highlights of the interview includes Ernst’s thoughts on the success of Republican women in the most recent election. She says the positive outcome on election night should be a reminder that, as we like to say here at FFL, all issues are women’s issues: “[Women are] concerned about national security. They’re concerned about making sure that our police are funded so they can protect our communities — all of those issues, healthcare issues, child care issues, having strong business and industry, because so many of them are small business owners.”
