Happy Wednesday to all of our readers! Campaign season has officially begun, and with Hillary Clinton announcing her candidacy, we decided to feature everyone’s favorite Hilary. Hilary Duff, that is. Yep, you heard that correctly. Our girl Hilary Duff is also conservative. (It’s okay if you’re super excited about this one, we are too!)

Aside from the fact that she’s one of the only teen-stars from Disney to not end up completely psycho, (it’s okay Miley, we still love you.. sometimes.) she’s also a registered Republican! Duff began her acting career at a young age, and quickly became a household name. Hilary became the ultimate teen idol after starring in the popular series Lizzie McGuire. Duff worked closely with Disney on various projects, from starring in Cadet Kelley to working on her first album, Santa Claus Lane. (Christmas themed, as you may have guessed.) She later signed with Hollywood Records, and thus her career in music was born! In 2005, Duff even performed at George W. Bush’s inauguration.

Hilary makes an awesome Weekly Conservative Woman for many reasons. 1.) She shows that it’s entirely possible to stay grounded, even with immeasurable success. 2.) She shows that despite working in ultra-liberal Hollywood, it’s entirely possible to stay true to your convictions and not give in to popular opinion. 3.) She reminds us that not all Hillary’s suck. Okay. Sorry about #3. I couldn’t resist. Anyways, Hilary Duff, we heart you.
