Congresswoman Mariannette Miller-Meeks supports bipartisan bill to reform military justice system
Mariannette Miller-Meeks (IA-02) introduced bipartisan legislation alongside her House colleagues, called the Vanessa Guillén Military Justice Improvement and Increasing Prevention Act, in an effort to reform the justice system in the military. Miller-Meeks, a 24-year Army veteran, noted about the bill, “I am proud to join such a large and bipartisan group of members to introduce the Vanessa Guillén Military Justice Improvement and Increasing Prevention Act to reform our military justice system for the better. This system has been broken for too long, and the time to act is now.”
Nikki Haley endorses Michelle Steel’s reelection campaign
In a new video, former ambassador Nikki Haley voiced her support for Rep. Michelle Steel (CA-48) in her reelection campaign. Haley praised Steel’s work in Congress thus far and expressed her confidence in the congresswoman’s ability to continue fighting for conservative values going forward. Of Steel, Haley summarized, “If you don’t know her, you should.”
On a separate note, Congresswoman Steel also celebrated her birthday this week on June 21, earning a happy birthday from her fellow congresswoman and friend, Rep. Young Kim (CA-39)!
Maggie’s List releases first wave of endorsements of Republican women for 2022 election cycle
Maggie’s List, a group committed to helping elect conservative candidates to office, announced its first round of endorsements for the 2022 election season. The list names incumbent and newcomer candidates for both House and Senate races. Notable Republican women on the list include Reps. Young Kim (CA-39), Elise Stefanik (NY-21), Kat Cammack (FL-3), Michelle Steel (CA-48), Maria Salazar (FL-27), Stephanie Bice (OK-5), Beth Van Duyne (TX-24), Debbie Lesko (AZ-8), Virginia Foxx (NC-5), Mariannette Miller-Meeks (IA-02), and more.
