Rep. Stefanik Stands Against Sexist Comments About Her Pregnancy
Late last week, Vermont news channel WCAX, which also covers Representative Elise Stefanik’s NY-21 district, aired a segment discussing how her pregnancy might affect her ability to serve in Congress. Stefanik blasted these comments on her social media and it drew the attention of many conservative news outlets. WCAX issued an apology earlier this week.
Iowa GOP Makes a Statement at Iconic Field of Dreams Game
On Thursday night, the New York Yankees led the MLB’s special Field of Dreams game heading into the bottom of the ninth inning. In dramatic fashion, the Chicago White Sox sent a two-run home run into the corn fields to win the game. The hype around this game extended to the Iowa community at large, with Representative Ashley Hinson (IA-01), Senator Joni Ernst (R-IA), and Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds joining in on the fun.
Reps. Kim and Malliotakis Interviewed on How GOP Women Are Leading the Way
CNN published a piece this week on how GOP women are leading the charge to take back the House of Representatives in the 2022 midterm elections. Freshmen Representatives Young Kim (CA-39) and Nicole Malliotakis (NY-11) spoke to the effectiveness of House leadership donating to protect vulnerable districts and targeting potential flip districts. Winning for Women spokesperson Olivia Perez-Cuba also provided a quote for the piece, saying that “Republican women are now our not-so-secret, secret weapon…we need to find and support qualified women.”
