Rep. Elise Stefanik Included in Top 10 Most Effective Lawmakers

This week, the Center for Effective Lawmaking ranked New York Republican Elise Stefanik among the top 10 most effective republicans lawmakers. Additionally, Rep. Stefanik was listed as the most effective republican lawmaker for commerce policy impacting small businesses, entrepreneurs, and workers.

Alaska Republican Lisa Murkowski was also listed as highly effective in her role as Energy and Natural Resources Committee Chair.

Rep. Maria Elvira Salazar (R-Fla.) Leads Introduction of Republican Immigration Reform Proposal

Rep. Maria Elvira Salazar (R-Fla.) led an event this week introducing the Dignity Act, a Republican counter plan for Democrats immigration reform proposals. The plan provides immediate legal status to Dreamers, while also prioritizing border security.

“[M]y Democrat colleagues have presented an immigration reform law that they know, they know will never become law in the way that it has been written,” the Rep. Salazar said. “We have a crisis on our southern border, children are being trafficked, and we must do everything possible to fix our immigration system once and for all.”

Louisiana Congressional Candidate Julia Letlow Receives Endorsement from Sarah Huckabee Sanders

Former White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders offered her endorsement to Louisiana Congressional Candidate Julia Letlow this week. Sanders referred to Letlow as the kind of “principled, strong leader” we need in Washington.

“As a fellow mom of young kids, I know Julia Letlow can handle anything Congress throws her way… and I have no doubt Julia will be a conservative voice making a difference for our children’s future.” Sanders said of Letlow.
