It seems like we can’t turn on our laptops or scroll through Twitter without a new streaming service popping up asking for our money. For young people cable is a thing of the past, and we get our entertainment through streaming services. If you’re wondering what you can watch on each one of these new services, don’t worry I’ve got you covered! 


Avatar: The Last Airbender

Epic action sequences, fantastical world building, and poignant scenes that stay with you forever. The cartoon from our childhood has it all and after months of anticipation it’s finally available to stream on Netflix. Binge through this iconic piece and notice all the layers still left to find in it as an adult. 

Sweet Magnolias 

Escape to a small Southern town in South Carolina with this Netflix original. It follows three childhood best friends, as they work through adulthood struggles together. It’s a celebration of friendship with heartwarming and relatable situations that will leave you ready for more! 


Love, Victor 

Love, Victor is a spin-off series set in the same world as the movie Love, Simon. The coming of age series follows Victor Salazar, as he moves to a new city and school while questioning his sexuality. As he struggles with his sexual orientation he reaches out to the titular character from the movie, Simon, to work through it all. 

Normal People 

Based off a hit novel, Normal People is a one of the newest Hulu series. It follows a pair of teenage in their final years of secondary school then following them into their early time as an  undergraduate as well. Marianne was the “weird” student in school who didn’t care what other thought. Connor was a popular student who let the teasing people did to Marianne go on. The show follows their complicated relationship with each other in a roller coaster of emotions. 


High School Musical: The Musical: The Series 

Don’t brush off this Disney+ original. With tongue in cheek humor about the original Disney channel original movies that stole our heart, with a dynamic talented cast it’s a fun ride. You get to enjoy new covers of the iconic songs from High School Musical with an original story that will get you invested right off the bat! 


July 3, 2020 will finally be the day that the masses get to enjoy the game changing Broadway musical, Hamilton, from the comfort of their own homes. The filmed version of the stage musical will be streamed exclusively on Disney+. This is an experience you want to be a part of. Fall in love and be inspired by the story of the immigrant founding father that helped shape the beautiful country we live in today.

We are living in a time where there is an all time high amount of coverage on police brutality and racial tension. Get a close unique perspective on these timeless issues in the movie based on the bestselling book by Angie Thomas. The movie and book follows Star Carter who witnesses her friend being unjustly murdered by police. You go along with Star, as she works to get her friend justice and struggles to speak up in a world that wants to ignore the horrors going on.
