Girl, Be Your Own Motivator

The world we live in is so competitive and fast-paced. It can be hard to understand where to start. In fact, it can be extremely difficult to find opportunities that help you further your career or what you want to do. Sometimes, you have to be the person that starts your own fire.

If you are passionate about politics and one day working in it, go out and make it happen! If you’re on a college campus, there are so many opportunities to get your hands on campaign work. Almost every school has a student government with annual elections you can be a part of. Only looking to join political campaigns? Girl, there is usually always something going at the local level that is in need of help. The only step to take advantage of these opportunities is you reaching out.

Well, if politics isn’t your passion, but media is, you can own that too! If you’re wanting to begin your journey as an established writer, there are so many organizations that are looking for contributors. These organizations seek to help their young writers grow and give them an opportunity to publish their writing. Some of these organizations include the Human Defense Initiative, Lone Conservative, and your favorite gals here at Future Female Leaders are always looking for contributors. Again, all it takes is you putting yourself out there and apply.

If you’re looking at getting more hands-on with media such as video or graphic design, there are opportunities waiting at organizations such as PragerU through their PragerFORCE ambassador program. There are multiple committees where you can be a video production contributor, a writer, or work on your digital graphic design skills. It’s a welcoming organization that wants young, passionate, goal-driven individuals who want to be their own motivator.

The only way you will be able to follow your dreams, is if you step out and take the jump. You can do anything you want if you put your mind to it. I wanted to be a media producer, but my school doesn’t offer an opportunity to get my hands dirty and learn the software I need to learn. What did I do about it? I taught myself the basics of Adobe software through YouTube and I was able to grow through multiple amazing internships.

I gave myself a goal in life, and it was my mission, and still is, to do everything I can to reach that goal to the best of my abilities. Don’t ever let anyone tell you no, don’t ever be afraid of failure, and allow your setbacks to be a trajectory for your comeback.

You are a rockstar. You are a powerful conservative woman. Yes, YOU are a force to be reckoned with. So, do what you need to do to get yourself to the place you need to be to accomplish those dreams.
