It’s once again the time of week where we dedicate a post to an inspiring and ambitious woman in the conservative movement. Generally, we introduce our WCW with a drawn out paragraph explaining just how great our pick is, but this week, we’d like to get straight to the point: Jan Brewer is a woman you should be familiar with.

Brewer took office as the 22nd Governor of Arizona in 2009, and before this she served as Arizona’s Secretary of State, beginning in 2003. She has served as a State Senator and State Representative for Arizona from 1983 to 1996. Brewer attended Glendale Community College where she received a radiological technologist certificate.  Despite her evident success, many are shocked to find that she never earned a college degree.

On a less serious note, this January, the former governor tweeted about breaking her 33 year streak of attending the Arizona state of the state address. The reasoning? Icecream. Now, don’t get me wrong, I love politics. But when a 70 year old politician decides to break a 33 year tradition for some Cold Stone Creamery, I can’t help but applaud her. You go, girl. Save me a seat next time.
