When my boyfriend and I decide to do a date night, we often struggle with thinking of something to do than going out to eat. Check out the list below of fun date night ideas for each month going into 2019.

January

With it being cold, do a winery/brewery/distillery tour in your local area. It is a good time to get out of your normal routine while supporting small businesses.

February

Do a progressive dinner for Valentines! Get drinks at one place, appetizers at another. Dinner at another restaurant and then dessert somewhere else. Each place does not have to be fancy, we often finish off our date nights at our favorite ice cream place.

March

With the nice weather, make a day trip to a state or national park. For us, Palo Duro Canyon State Park is 90 miles away, and is perfect for a day of hiking.

April

Go to a college level or semi professional baseball game. Some teams will even do a “bark in the park” game where you can take your dog!

May

Take a trip to a lake and rent a boat for a day with some other friends. You will have fun and cool off in the lake. Make sure to take a picnic, bottles of water and sunscreen.

June

With it being so hot, so take a break from the heat and go to a local museum to learn more about your community’s history.

July

Escape the heat and take a trip to the gun range. Exercising your 2nd amendment rights is a great way to spend an afternoon with your significant other.

August

Volunteer for a few hours at your local animal shelter. You get to cuddle dogs while on a date, what could be better?!

September

Find a local park and go to the driving range! Make sure you check beforehand if you can rent golf clubs if you do not have any.

October

See if there is corn maze in your area and make a date night out of it! Make sure you check the weather to make sure you dress appropriately.

November

Volunteer at your local food bank/soup kitchen. Being that November that a month of giving thanks, this is a good activity to get in the spirit of giving back.

December

With the holidays approaching, you never know what battles other people are facing. Check to see if your church or local police department is participating in an adopt a child program for Christmas. Adopt a child and then go to the store and pick out items!
