With the COVID-19 Pandemic, and the Democratic elections in full swing, it seems that America has gone crazy—I mean there is a toilet paper crisis occurring and Joe Biden is barely in the lead over Bernie Sanders. In times of panic and mass hysteria, I think it is important to look to great, conservative role models for hope and inspiration. Here are 15 quotes by the great President Ronald Reagan to regain your faith in America:

  • “The basis of conservatism is a desire for less government interference or less centralized authority or more individual freedom and this is a pretty general description also of what libertarianism is.”

  • “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction”

  • “Welfare’s purpose should be to eliminate, as far as possible, the need for its own existence.”

  • “America is no stronger than its people—that means you and me. Well, I believe in you and I believe that if we work together, then one day we will say, ‘We fought the good fight. We finished the race. We kept the faith.’ And to our children and our children’s children, we can say, ‘We did all what could be done in the brief time that was given us here on earth.’”

  • “There is no such things as limits to growth, because there are no limits on the human capacity for intelligence, imagination, and wonder.”

  • “All my life I’ve seen that when people have freedom and a vision, when they have the courage and opportunity to work hard, and when people believe in the power of faith and hope, they can accomplish great things.”

  • “Even Albert Einstein reportedly needed help on his 1040 form.”

  • “Yes, America is still a symbol to a few, a symbol that is feared and hated, but to more, many millions more, a symbol that is loved, a country that remains a shining city on a hill.”

  • “The nine most terrifying words in the English language are, ‘I am from the government and I am here to help.’”

  • “And I have often said that a government program once launched is the nearest thing to eternal life we’ll ever see on this Earth.”

  • “The future doesn’t belong to the fainthearted. It belongs to the brave.”

  • “In this land of dreams fulfilled, where greater dreams may be imagined, nothing is impossible, no victory is beyond our reach, no glory will ever be too great.”

  • “I know in my heart that man is good. That what is right will always eventually triumph. And there’s purpose and worth to each and every life.”

  • “America’s best days are yet to come. Our proudest moments are yet to be. Our most glorious achievements are just ahead.”

  • “I now begin the journey that will lead me into the sunset of my life. I know that for America there will always be a bright dawn ahead.”

We will persevere together.
