Senator Martha McSally (R-AZ) is planning to introduce legislation that would classify “domestic terrorism” as a federal crime. The action is in response to events like the recent shooting El Paso, Texas. Currently, there are no specific laws against domestic terrorism that would punish domestic terrorists adequately.

Representative Stefanik Introduces Legislation to Encourage Renewable Energy Production

Partnering with Representative Scott Peters (D-CA), New York Representative Elise Stefanik re-introduced the Renewable Electricity Tax Credit Equalization Act to the House of Representatives. This legislation would expand tax credits for investments in renewable energy production like geothermal and hydro-power, among others.

Representative Liz Cheney Speaks Out Against Representative Steve King’s Comments

After Representative Steve King (R-IA) gave a speech claiming there would be “no population left” without rape and incest, members of both parties called for his resignation, including Wyoming Republican Liz Cheney, who said: 

Representative Cheney was joined by House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, who pointed out that this is not the first time Rep. King has made controversial remarks.
