Kelly Loeffler Is Sworn into the Senate
Georgia officially has a female senator with the swearing in of Kelly Loeffler this week. Loeffler was escorted onto the Senate floor by Iowa Republican Joni Ernst and was sworn in by Vice President Mike Pence. With the addition of Loeffler, there are now 26 women, including Republicans and Democrats, in the Senate.
Charlotte Pence Gets Married
Charlotte Pence, daughter of Vice President Mike Pence and Second Lady Karen Pence, wed her fiancé, a Marine Corps pilot, three days after Christmas. Pence, now Bond, took to Twitter this week to post a touching message to her husband. The pair were introduced by Michael Pence, who is also a Marine Corps pilot.
Megyn Kelly Releases a YouTube Segment About Bombshell
Based on true event at Fox News under the infamous Roger Ailes, Bombshell stars Charlize Theron stars as Megyn Kelly. After watching the film, Kelly publicly reacted mostly positively, even tearing up during the screening. That said, she pointed out a few falsehoods and disagreed with the decision to include a scene in which one woman blames Theron, while playing Kelly, for “not speaking up.” To watch Kelly’s full segment, visit this link.
Texas Congressional Candidate Genevieve Collins Releases New Campaign Video
E-PAC-endorsed candidate Genevieve Collins released her first campaign video entitled, “100% Texan” this week. Touting her deep Texas roots and business background, the video shows the candidate on a jobsite, a shooting range, and at a backyard barbeque. Collins is one of six Republicans running against incumbent Democrat Colin Allred in Texas’s 32nd Congressional District.
