In today’s society, not everyone handles tough situations with class. Many just blurt out whatever is in their head, without thinking of the consequences. My personal inspiration, Blair Waldorf, is a gem at handling tough situations when they come her way.

1) When the trolls of Twitter attack you for expressing your views on a subject, try not to let them have any influence over you or your personal opinions.  Stay strong and don’t let them get to you- they just want a reaction. Hiding behind an anonymous account to bully someone is the weakest thing one can do. It truly shows what kind of person someone is. Remember the golden rule, if you don’t have something nice to say, don’t say anything at all.

2) When negative people seem to come back into your life at the worst times, do not allow them to become an influence. All they want to do is see how far they can push you; to see if you will give up.  The people who try and take you down and diminish your accomplishments are simply insecure. Do not back down, keep striving to be the best that you can be in all that you do. Mermaids do not lose sleep over the opinions of shrimp.

3) Working hard to achieve your goals can be extremely tough. Whether your goals stem from education, jobs, raising your children well, or making the world around you a better place, nothing can hold you back unless you let it! Go out there and be a strong, determined woman, getting what she wants no matter what situation comes in your way. This is what FFL tries to instill in every reader- the power to make your life however you want it to be.

4) Be a Blair Waldorf in a world full of Georgina Sparks’. Have faith in yourself, in whatever you do, and do it with class. Be the independent, smart, and talented conservative women that we at FFL, know that you are. Take on today with a positive attitude and never let the negativity from a tough situation detour you from your destination.
