It’s been two weeks since the leaked Trump tape was surfaced by the Washington Post.  It seems as though everyone and their mother has weighed in.  Many speculated over Ivanka Trump’s silence on the leaked tape and multiple alleged sexual assault claims towards her father.  And now, Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka has broken her silence.

“My father’s comments were clearly inappropriate and offensive, and I’m glad that he acknowledged this fact with an immediate apology to my family and the American people,” Ivanka told Fast Company in a statement.

The daughter of the real estate mogul juggles her own brand Ivanka Trump, co-run the Trump Organization, and support for her father’s presidential campaign.  She’s no stranger to scrutiny.  She says this past year has been particularly tough, stating “”I mean, it’s been a year and a half of enormous scrutiny, of my family, every business, every movement, action, but I think that, you know, that sort of comes with the territory. And I think I’ve probably learned a lot through it and I’ve probably grown a bit tougher in terms of my resilience toward what is thrown our way because, you know, I’ve read some very negative stuff.”

How has she dealt with the negative comments? “The greatest comfort I have is the fact that I know my father. Most of the people who write about him don’t. I do,” Ivanka says “So that gives me an ability to shrug off the things that I read about him that are wrong.”

She has spoken.
